Operation Pawsitive
Support
Messages of Support
for our Troops from Students and Friends of Pawsitive Results
It all started when I was thinking about how
schoolchildren were writing letters of support to U.S. soldiers serving in
Iraq, and I thought, "Why limit it to two-legged students?" And the idea was
born: Operation Pawsitive Support!
In my dog training classes and through the Pawsitive Results newsletter, I
explained how I had a friend serving in Iraq (he was with the 4/25th Army
Airborne). I asked if folks would like to help me wish him and his fellow troops
well by sending in photos of their pets and messages of support. I gathered all
the responses in one scrapbook, and mailed it to Iraq. I also created a Web site
to post the responses.
Pets are family members, and we know how much our troops in Iraq and elsewhere
overseas miss all their family members back home. My hope is that this Web site
reminds you how much you are appreciated and respected for all the hard work you
do. There are hearts wishing you safe journeys as you serve our country ... and
warm purrs and wagging tails awaiting your welcome return home.
